Topcon’s IS-2 robotic imaging station, now available from Position Partners, offers even more technical advantages to increase productivity and competitiveness in the measurement market.

Topcon’s IS combines the best of two worlds, giving you advanced imaging and high-accuracy surveying, plus real-time field imagery with spatial data – all in a single unit.
Its powerful functionality is controlled using Topcon’s exclusive ImageMaster software which produces “photography with dimension”, a revolutionary and cost-effective alternative to laser scanning.

Latest hardware enhancements in the new IS-2 include the capability of built-in WLAN (wireless LAN) and an external antenna to provide robust wireless communications in robotic mode, while leaving the Compact Flash card slot free for even more file storage (capacities to 64 Gb and more are now readily available).

In addition, the IS-2’s telescope can now transit the full 360º in the vertical plane, saving even more time on two-face observations.

Ease of use is further enhanced with the availability of a 5-inch (125 mm) screen option.

• Photo Fieldbook, allowing the creation of a 360° panorama in just a few seconds.
• IntelligentScan, to automatically recognis significant features in the images. A 20 pps scan rate means it is ideal for most applications, while its 2000m precision reflectorless range is top of its class.
• ImageDrive, allowing operators to visually operate from the controller and easily switch from imaging to prism tracking.
• Independent Control, allowing complete control from computer, WiFi-equipped FC-2500, and other compatible devices.
• Integrated dual-camera array with wide-area and 30X scope view so user can zoom in any detail.

At the same time, the IS-2 doesn’t forsake its robotic roots, offering all the features of Topcon’s GPT-9000A robotic total station (on which it is based) – and more.
