Laser Safety Officer

$350.00 + GST per person per session (3 Hour / module)

This course leads senior civil and survey staff to certification as a laser safety officer. The contents cover all aspects of the safe use of lasers at a site level as described in AS/NZ60825 and AS2397. The successful passing of an exam certifies the user in the safe use and administration of lasers in the building and construction industry.

The course contents are:

• Understanding laser light fundamentals
• Understanding hazards associated with laser use
• Laser classifications
• Responsibilities of LSO and Operator
• Laser safety requirements
• Management of a laser safety plan
• Understanding LASERS ARE SAFE! when used as intended
