Aptella are seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team in Balcatta, Wa. This is a permanent full time role reporting to the Service Centre Manager.

This role is best suited to someone who has experience in repairing and calibrating electronic products. You might be an instrument fitter or radio repairer but ultimately you are someone who has strong experience with cables, soldering and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking bench repairs and/or pre-sales and/or pre-hire testing, calibration, software uploads and configuration for products and systems
• Undertaking ongoing service training on products and service procedures.
• Ensuring company assets, test equipment and tools are maintained in good working order.
• Actively advising on product and system condition including making recommendations on product upgrades or new replacements where appropriate.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

• An Electronics or Instrument trade qualification
• Strong trade skills
• Strong ability to troubleshoot
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Initiative to work with minimal management direction
• Know how in the service and repair of electronic products
• Teamwork orientation
• Strong attention to detail
