Aptella is excited to bring you the SmartSurveyor Versatile Photogrammetry Tool. Weighing just 200 grams, this compact yet powerful survey instrument enables fast, accurate mapping and photogrammetry tasks using your drone or smartphone.

Iterative Ultra-Matching technique

Unlike other survey mapping systems that utilise either post-processed or real-time kinematic (PPK or RTK) technology, SmartSurveyor uses an iterative ultra-matching technique that negates the need for an electrical connection between the camera’s shutter and the GNSS receiver.

No external survey hardware

With a combination of precise GNSS trajectory and at least two ground control points that can be collected with the drone itself, there is no external survey equipment required. Achieve the highest levels of photogrammetry accuracy, with full support for coordinate and datum transformation, as well as geoid models.

Compatible with leading survey drones

SmartSurveyor can be mounted to most small, high quality consumer drone models including the popular Mavic 2 and 3 series and Phantom 4 Pro by DJI.

Photogrammetry from your phone

Unclip the SmartSurveyor from your drone and attach your smartphone to quickly and accurately capture data as you walk. SmartSurveyor works just as well with your smartphone camera as your drone!

6 steps to produce point clouds, orthophotos and DTMs

Creating your survey-grade outputs is simple:

1. Clip the SmartSurveyor to your drone or smartphone and power on with the battery provided
2. Fly or walk the area you need mapped
3. Transfer photos and GNSS file to a PC
4. Open Agisoft and run through the provided UltraMatch workflow
5. Confirm accuracy using additional check points
6. Export your results to your desired software platform or upload to Tokara for as-built project overlays
